Kate Young for Tura Sun: The Expanded View

Kate Young for Tura Sun: The Expanded View

Innovating, researching, exploring, and expanding; each maintains a crucial role in the design process. But, when applied in harmony, these pillars lay an ideal foundation on which a brand can grow successfully. When expanding the Kate Young for Tura Optical Collection, Tura noticed that the transition to modern styles was well received; it was part of Tura’s research stage. Historically, the Kate Young for Tura collection has featured a plethora of strong editorial pieces worn by Kate’s celebrity clientele. But Tura never discards the importance of balancing what works with what is innovative. In expanding the Kate Young for Tura sun collection, we harness this ideology to capitalize on the success of the brand. The expansion collection features many similar design details that make the Kate Young for Tura collection characteristically “Kate”. But we’ve now developed a Kate Young for Tura sun collection at a more affordable price point with a wider scope of wearabilty. In this new collection, Tura is moving towards capturing the woman who want to look and feel young. She confidently knows exactly how she wants to look and style herself. Tura Inc: Ted Baker – Finely Framed

Tura Inc: Ted Baker – Finely Framed

The Ted Baker collection is historically classic in regards to shape and fit, but we’re here to remind you that Ted Baker never stops innovating in their design. Using innovative materials and applying modern updates to retro frames is a design theme at the crux of the brand. This time, innovation spurs from the use of a material that is 30% lighter than standard acetate, known as HDCA. HDCA, or High Density Cellulose Acetate. More importantly, these lightweight frames are extremely strong; giving Ted Baker the ability to embellish them with spring hinges, metal décor and all of the other details used in the standard collection. In fact, this lightweight material is so strong it keeps its form and adjustments in the same way a regular plastic frame would. In addition, the RX capabilities of an HDCA frame mirror that of a standard acetate frame. As you might know, Ted Baker launched the Men’s Finely Framed sub-collection earlier this year. In an effort to perfectly compliment this men’s sub-collection, Ted Baker is now adding the Ladies’ Finely Framed sub-collection. Tura Inc.: The Lulu Guinness Large Fit Collection

Tura Inc.: The Lulu Guinness Large Fit Collection

All good design should address an issue or meet a need. This sentiment is held close to mind at Tura, where we deeply value the research portion of the design process. It is through this research that we recently discovered a void in the marketplace for fashionable women’s eyewear in larger sizes. Through extensive travel across the U.S and conversations with our ECPs during that travel, we’ve learned that many women have resorted to wearing men’s frames or sunglasses, as standard ladies’ frames simply did not fit. Larger fitting women’s eyewear, meet your match: Lulu Guinness. The Lulu Guinness collection has historically been developed in petite and standard sizes. However, we’ve extracted what works best in our Lulu collections, and infused these details into new styles to create a Lulu Guinness Large sized Collection. In fact, we’ve taken nine of our companies’ best selling Lulu styles and have carefully tweaked them to accommodate larger head-fits for women. Of the nine new styles, you can expect 4 fashionable Lulu metals, and 5 perfectly stylish plastics; all featuring the playful Lulu Guinness colors and whimsical details that have made this collection so successful....

Tura Inc: The Modernization of Tura

Tura Inc: The Modernization of Tura

One of the most prevalent, yet challenging, tasks in today’s ever-evolving fashion landscape, is adapting to the “now”. Conscious of this notion, Tura understands that often times what worked yesterday, might have to be modified to be successful today. Conversely, one might argue that equally important is maintaining the essence of what made Tura appealing in the first place. Tura has straddled both ideologies because in theory, both are correct. Since our inception in 1938, Tura has been a fixture in the eyewear industry as a pioneer of jewelry centric eyewear; the first to adorn frames with jewels & gold filigree. Yesterday, Tura was a brand that catered primarily to a woman, age 50 and up. But today, Tura is taking a new different approach. Today, Tura has widened the scope to embrace not only our original audience, but a younger, high fashion woman. Tura is consciously modernizing the brand from both a marketing and product standpoint. And, if you look closely, you’ll see that an emphasis on the new generation of the Tura woman is at the crux of our newer designs. As Tura’s Senior Brand Manager, Julie Allen, explained, “when a brand expands its audience, it...
