Police 2012 Men’s Sunglass Collection

Defiant and bold, with its unmistakable style and its international reputation, POLICE has been one of the most famous examples of a lifestyle brand since the ‘80s, influencing everything surrounding it with its urban spirit. New York, the metropolis par excellence, is the source of inspiration for its eyewear collections that have rapidly become a unisex, must-have fashion accessory, always focusing on the right details. It is the BE YOUNIQUE spirit, with its unmistakably Police style and its metropolitan feel, that characterises the 2012 sunglass collection, featuring models with a refined design and a strong personality, which pay attention to current fashion trends though also stand out with their personal and unique way of creating their own style. Energetic, defiant, sexy, POLICE is the brand for powerful and magnetic personalities: fashion lovers, never fashion victims.

Materials and colors
For 2012, POLICE – the key house brand of the De Rigo Group – presents a collection with a contemporary vintage feel, where metal frames prevail, either drop-shaped and aviator-like or with more square profiles. These come alongside a number of sophisticated acetates with a vintage feel, even with two-colour versions. The undisputed star of the collection is the blue mirrored lens that made the brand so successful in the ‘80s and that is available in all models of the collection, for a very glam rock version. A symbol of freedom and of an underground style, which has always been recognized worldwide as a distinctive part of the brand’s Police Style: mod. S1720 col. mod. S1720 col. U28 – SQUARE SHAPE
Drawing inspiration from the typical shapes of the ‘90s, Police presents styles in acetate and metal with square, linear and flat shapes that emphasize the wide front piece. Extreme refinement is conveyed by colour contrasts between the upper and lower profile of the front piece.

The double profile in metal that frames the lenses is THE detail that, along with the blue mirrored lens, is the most distinctive sign of the ‘80s must-have from Police. For 2012, the Double Profile comes back in 4 new models: square, rectangular, round and mask. Quite obviously, these are all available in the hyper-Police version with blue mirrored lenses, though also with one-colour or gradient lenses, in black and brown.Police Style: mod.
